Florida Report - August 2011 R. George McAliley is our prison chaplain on the ground at Belle Glade, Florida. George stated 8/23/11 that his present class at Belle Glades Correctional Institution has 42 inmates in attendance. He has now completed a total of nineclasses and over 200 men have graduated.
This week we sent George 60 new workbooks. His next class is scheduled to start August 29. We have linked arms with George and thirty-one other prison chaplains in Florida in the re-entry initiative. With some 670,000 inmates released annually across the United States we are doing our part to promote community safety and prevent recidivism among prison inmates.
